It is an Indian massage of the soles of the feet which is practiced using a bowl called "kansu" made of five metals, the main one being copper, and Indian clarified butter "ghee". The "ghee" can be replaced by a hot Ayurvedic oil such as sesame oil, or Pitta oil which helps to balance the fire element.
In many traditions, feet are considered a reflection of the body and any action performed on the feet interacts with the body. Indian tradition has adopted this theory and implemented a form of reflexology, based on Ayurvedic knowledge.
The gestures consist of applying energetic and increasingly intense pressure on the skin, taking care to stimulate each part of the sole of the foot, thus activating the good circulation of vital energy throughout the body.
This massage aims to treat not only the reflex points of the feet but also the five elements at the same time: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether which, according to Ayurveda, are the fundamental components of the human being.
It is a massage particularly recommended to balance the Fire element, it brings a very deep relaxation of the whole body and regulates sleep.
It fills you with gentle, soothing sensations, to the point that it is often used to treat anxiety, nervousness, stress and insomnia.
