Sylvie GRATON invites you to take part in two "My massage by Mom & Dad" workshops, to learn the right gestures and techniques for Shantala massage.
In South India, Shantala massage is an Indian therapeutic massage that is an integral part of the first years of a child's life. It was introduced in France and Switzerland by Frédérick Leboyer, a leading gynecologist and obstetrician, in the 1950s.
He explains to us step by step how to enter in communication with the infant by the touch, how to calm him, to calm the anxieties of his coming to the world, by prolonging the feelings of the maternal belly.
It is performed with gentle downward movements using light pressure. It brings a physical and emotional well-being to your baby.
In India women massage their babies. Mothers pass on this precious gift to their daughters who will pass it on to theirs.
Sylvie invites you to take part in two "My massage by Mom & Dad" workshops to learn the correct gestures and techniques of Shantala massage.
This massage is recommended from your child's first month and up to 8/9 months, before your baby starts crawling. With this massage, you'll enable your child to relive the sensations and sense of comfort experienced in the womb.
You'll also learn how to establish a relaxing, calming and soothing ritual to promote a more peaceful sleep. You'll also learn how to use movements designed to relieve various ailments that affect the very young, such as colic or teething troubles. In addition to strengthening the immune system, this massage will help your child take possession of his or her body, build his or her identity and fully develop motor skills through baby-gym movements at the end of the protocol.
