What is the Foundation ASCA?

Created on April 21, 1991 by health insurance specialists and therapists, the Foundation ASCA is a Swiss foundation for complementary medicine. It is a neutral, independent and non-profit organization that is subject to the supervision of the federal confederation.
 
It encourages professional ethics by taking into account the approach of each therapist. She has nearly 25 years of experience serving naturopaths, health practitioners, insurers and patients.
 
Today, the Foundation ASCArecognizes more than 130 therapeutic disciplines classified into 12 groups of therapies.
 
Registered Therapist ASCA - Reimbursement by your supplementary insurance possible. For any claim ASCA or RME, please specify at the time of booking.

WHAT IS THE EMPIRICAL MEDICINE REGISTRY?

The RME, Registry of Empirical Medicinehas been involved in quality assurance in empirical medicine for more than 20 years. Its aim is to protect patients who use empirical medicine. As an independent organisation, the RME is committed to the recognition of empirical medicine as an integral part of the Swiss healthcare system. Thus, they have developed a quality label that distinguishes therapists providing treatment in empirical medicine. In order to obtain it, therapists must demonstrate solid professional competence, attend continuing education courses and have the quality of their services regularly monitored.

What is empirical medicine?

The EMR define it as "a multitude of professional methods and qualifications with which health problems are identified and treated or which are suitable for prevention. Empirical medicine procedures can be used both as a complement to conventional, scientifically based medicine and to strengthen one's own resources. They are all characterized by a holistic understanding of health, but differ in their approach, concepts and explanatory models".
